photogal-fam4a

Purshottam Das Jalota (9 September 1925 – January 18, 2011) was Indian classical and devotional music singer, best known for his bhajans. He was awarded the Padma Shri by Government of India, in 2004.[1]

Born in Phagwara, Punjab, he learnt Hindustani classical music from Master Ratan of Sham Chaurasia gharana[citation needed]. At the age of twenty four he shifted to Lucknow and started singing professionally. He gradually shifted to singing Bhajans and set to tune several Bhajans based on Raagdari Sangeet. He considered that this would propagate India’s rich cultural heritage as well as popularize classical music. He is the father of singer Anup Jalota. He died at the age of 84 on 18 January 2011

My greatest beauty secret is being happy with myself. I don’t use special creams or treatments – I’ll use a little bit of everything. It’s a mistake to think you are what you put on yourself. I believe that a lot of how you look is to do with how you feel about yourself and your life. Happiness is the greatest beauty secret.
Tina Turner

I didn’t have anybody, really, no foundation in life, so I had to make my own way. Always, from the start. I had to go out in the world and become strong, to discover my mission in life.
Tina Turner

I’m self-made. I always wanted to make myself a better person, because I was not educated. But that was my dream – to have class.
Tina Turner

I’m not wise, but the beginning of wisdom is there; it’s like relaxing into – and an acceptance of – things.
Tina Turner

I never close a door on any other religion. Most of the time, some part of it makes sense to me. I don’t believe everyone has to chant just because I chant. I believe all religion is about touching something inside of yourself.

WILD AND WIRE
YOU COME TO ME, GIVE ME EVERYTHING I NEED

YOU BRING A LIFETIME OF PROMISES
AND A WORLD OF DREAMS
YOU SPEAK THE LANGUAGE OF LOVE
LIKE YOU KNOW WHAT IT MEANS
AND IT CAN’T BE WRONG
TAKE MY HEART AND MAKE IT STRONG

CAUSE YOU’RE SIMPLY THE BEST
BETTER THAN ALL THE REST
BETTER THAN ANYONE
ANYONE I EVER MEET
I’M STUCK ON YOUR HEART
I HANG ON EVERY WORD YOU SAY
TEAR US APART
BABY I WOULD RATHER BE DEAD

DEEP IN YOUR HEART
I SEE THE STAR
OF EVERY NIGHT AND EVERY DAY
AND IN YOUR EYES I GET LOST
I GET WASHED AWAY
JUST AS LONG AS I’M HERE IN YOUR ARMS
I COULD BE IN NO BETTER PLACE
CAUSE YOU’RE SIMPLY THE BEST…

Saraswati is represented in Hindu mythology as the divine consort of Lord Brahma, the Creator of the universe. Since knowledge is necessary for creation, Saraswati symbolizes the creative power of Brahma.

The lotus is a symbol of the Supreme Reality,  By sitting on a lotus, Saraswati signifies that She is Herself rooted in the Supreme Reality, and symbolizes supreme knowledge.

The white color symbolizes purity and knowledge. The white sari that the Goddess is wearing denotes that She is the embodiment of pure knowledge.

Reggae has a philosophy, you know?

It’s not just entertainment.

There’s an idea behind it,

a way of life behind the music,

which is a positive way of life,

which is a progressive way of life for better people.

I’m a big reader.

My kids love reading,

and

I think it’s important,

not just for development but for bonding.

You start reading to kids before they can even understand

what you’re saying to them,

so

I look at it as a fundamental tool for connection.

why dance ?

“We should consider every day lost on which we have not danced at least once.”

Friedrich Nietzsche

Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche

(1844 – 1900)

A German philosopher, poet, composer, and cultural critic. He wrote critical essays and books on religion, morality, culture, philosophy, and science.

Eternity is dancing on eternity like football …..

our body is leather cover of time

and

our guru and guide

through

which we will be able to form a mirror inside to know

our true nature

which is timelessness ….. eternity .

mirror is togetherness of two opposites …… like transparent glass and non transparent silver ….. yoga is a science to bring together our timeless transparent soul and time body non transparent ……

and there are several methods to bring these duality together ……

like a dance form ….. which is witnessing action and non action together

or

dance or dancer becoming one …..

this oneness is music of life ……

and

Indian Greeting salutations NAMASTE

also is bringing left and right hand together …..

which is uniting feminine and masculine parts of body together

gratitude is a prayer of divine

and

an art to bring timelessness  in art forms ……

many time people inquire …..

why Indian art not signed ?……

great artist never thought their performance belongs to them …..

they always considered it as grace of God …….

gratitude and Namaste are art to say the divine ……

thank you Lord .

spiritual quotes : The Last Samurai ( 2003 )

1= 997

Quotes from the movie The Last Samurai ( 2003 )

are both thought  provoking and compelling.

After centuries of relying on hired samurai for national defense,

the Japanese monarchy has decided to do away with the warriors in favor of a more

contemporary military.

Tom Cruise stars as Nathan Algren, a veteran of the U.S. Civil War who is hired by

the Emperor Meiji to train an army capable of wiping out the samurai.

But when Algren is captured by the samurai

and taught about their history and way of life,

he finds himself conflicted over who he should be fighting alongside.

Billy Connelly, Tony Goldwyn, and Ken Watanabe co-star.

The Last Samurai Movie Quotes

1= 992

Katsumoto: [narrating] :

They say Japan was made by a sword.

They say the old gods dipped a coral blade into the ocean,

and when they pulled it out four perfect drops fell back into the sea,

and those drops became the islands of Japan.

I say, Japan was made by a handful of brave men.

Warriors, willing to give their lives for what seems to have become a forgotten word:

honor.

Katsumoto: You believe a man can change his destiny?

Algren: I think a man does what he can, until his destiny is revealed.

Algren: How’s your poem coming?

Katsumoto: The end is proving difficult.

Katsumoto:

The perfect blossom is a rare thing.

You could spend your life looking for one, and it would not be a wasted life.

Spring, 1877. This marks the longest I’ve stayed in one place

since I left the farm at 17.

There is so much here I will never understand.

I’ve never been a church going man,

and

what I’ve seen on the field of battle has led me to question God’s purpose.

But there is indeed something spiritual in this place.

And though it may forever be obscure to me,

I cannot but be aware of its power.

I do know that it is here that I’ve known my first untroubled sleep in many years.

Nathan Algren

The Last Samurai – Tom Cruise

I think this is a very good death.

Katsumoto

The Last Samurai – Ken Watanabe

I am a living god, as long as I do what they think is right.

Emperor Meiji

The Last Samurai – Shichinosuke Nakamura

Tell me how he died ?

Emperor Meiji

I will tell you how he lived.

Algren:

 ram0ram footnote :

love good films and

The Last Samurai ( 2003 ) is one my favorite ……

watched it many times …… as one watches it more …..

it opens with new meanings and fragrance of characters in the film ….

films are real and unreal at the same time …..

but it gives to some entertainment ……

to some experience …..

and to some enlightenment …….

cosmos is dream production of divine …….

and life is a film which can make us aware of our different roles and divine part …….

in film all actors act with the given identity or names but original name mostly appears

at the end of the film only …….

to know the original name during the film  yet act with a given name naturally is enlightenment ……..

love all.
